1.   It was found that the incident had occurred because when a worker Sujaan Patel had on behalf of the workers demanded decent wages, the Supervisor of Haji Baba Constructions Sushil Kumar Singh and his men beat him up severely in a closed room. When the workers found this out, they retaliated and the fracas ensued. 

2.   After their work in the old plant, PCSS workers took out a demonstration in front of the (Expansion) Project Gate demanding an enquiry into the incident, black listing of Haji Baba contractor, that Holcim management look into serious and long standing grievances of the construction workers and that the injured be provided medical treatment.

2.   When Rajkumar Sahu, Vice President PCSS was trying to get information and trying to represent the grievances of the construction workers to the Project Director of the Expansion Plant Sunil Gupta, he threatened Mr Sahu with dire consequences. The PCSS is planning to lodge an FIR against this threat.
