Mass Meeting and Rally against Bhangor Power Grid on 8.5.17 at College Square, Kolkata.



 Members of Bhangor Andolan Samhati Committee addressed the huge gathering. Leaders of Bhavadighi, Deganga, Mathabhanga, 176 bigha and different other Peoples movement spoke. The College Square and College Street went into the grip of tens of thousands of villagers from Bhangor and people from other areas of West Bengal. The Meeting declared that the countdown of Mamata Government is started. All democratic forces gathered under the single banner “Jomi Jibika Vastutantro O Porivesh Raksha Committee”. Bhangor movement is directing a new path for Mass Movements. Lessons should be taken from the masses. Movements should not only be the brainchild of some drawingroom intellectuals. Go to the people and try to assess the pulsebeating of the masses at base level. The front rank leaders of this movement and the leaders and workers at the base level got arrested. The State Govt. arrested the highest leaders of the movement to suppress the movement and after others who had to move cautiously. Police/CID & TMC goons are after the blood of other leaders also like gestappos. Still the movement is going on for the last about 7 months. Bhangor is the higher stage of Singur Nandigram movement. Some people, not understanding the ground situations, are making irresponsible comments sitting in drawing rooms. Come and join the movement and put your sincere efforts to transform the movement a real mass uprising and force the Govt. to bow down.
